The Story of Us
It was the summer of 2019. Amira and Pujan met for the first time in college at the University of Michigan. They’d only walked past each other a million times before they actually spoke. But eventually, despite the sub-zero weather, endless Ann Arbor construction, and piles of schoolwork, they found each other.
On their first date, they went to the movies. They went to see The Lion King, and talked the entire time. As a matter of fact, neither one of them remembers anything about the movie.
From there on, they never stopped talking. They continued to fall in love as they spent countless late nights studying and eating random snacks they found at the nearby 7/11. They even took a Bollywood film class together!
Right after graduation, the two flew west to Los Angeles to pursue their careers. Since then, they have been loving life in California and are constantly seeking out adventure. From trying new dinner spots to adopting two cats, they’re always down for an experience!
On their latest adventure, Pujan took Amira to Carmel-By-The-Sea, a cute storybook town in Northern California. Little did she know, he was ready to pop the question. On their five hour car ride, Amira and Pujan did the usual: talk and listen to Amira sing along to her music occasionally.
When they arrived, Pujan led Amira to their hotel room where he got down on one knee and asked Amira to marry him - he did not want to wait any longer. She threw her bag down and screamed, “I KNEW IT!”
They are so excited to continue their love story alongside their two favorite cats, Espresso and Saturn.
